QHSE Management System

 

The strength of Al-Hajjar Company’s commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, and the Environment (QHSE) is determined by the conviction of its management and the effective implementation of the QHSE Management System by all employees. Al-Hajjar is committed to being a leader in QHSE performance across its business sectors.

Al-Hajjar’s commitment to Quality, Health, Safety, and the Environment begins with senior leadership and extends to every individual within the organization, including new employees. This commitment strengthens the Company’s reputation and corporate image, enabling it to maintain and expand a strong and trusted customer base.

Element 1: Commitment, Leadership, and Accountability

This element defines Al-Hajjar’s commitment to QHSE at both the organizational and individual levels. While commitment to QHSE is expected from all employees, it begins with top management. The ultimate goal is to eliminate workplace injuries, occupational illnesses, and environmental incidents, while continually improving products, services, and operational performance.

Element 2: Policies, Objectives, and Standards

Senior management establishes QHSE policies, objectives, and standards and ensures they are clearly communicated throughout the organization. Al-Hajjar’s policies define the Company’s goals and direction, while standards establish mandatory requirements and minimum acceptable performance criteria.

Element 3: Organization and Resources

The organizational structure, roles, and responsibilities are clearly defined, and sufficient resources are provided to achieve QHSE objectives. Every employee is responsible for working safely, protecting the environment, and ensuring that colleagues, contractors, and suppliers comply with QHSE requirements.

Element 4: Risk Management

Risk assessment and risk management are proactive approaches to addressing QHSE risks. Rather than relying solely on incident statistics, Al-Hajjar focuses on hazard identification, risk assessment, and the implementation of effective control measures to prevent incidents.

Element 5: Contractor and Supplier Management

Al-Hajjar ensures that contractors and suppliers meet the same high standards of quality, health, safety, and environmental performance required by the Company and its customers. Performance is evaluated not only based on internal operations but also on the overall performance of contractors and suppliers.

Element 6: Business Processes

Effective business processes are established to meet customer requirements, satisfy social and community expectations, maximize operational efficiency, minimize losses, and deliver value to stakeholders.

Element 7: Performance Monitoring and Measurement

Management expects all operations to be conducted in a manner that eliminates or minimizes QHSE risks. Business processes are continuously monitored and measured to verify compliance with customer, company, legal, and regulatory requirements. Accurate records are maintained to evaluate performance, enable benchmarking, and support continual improvement.

Element 8: Audit, Review, and Continuous Improvement

QHSE Management System audits and management reviews are conducted regularly to assess the suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness of the system. Improvement action plans are developed based on audit and review results to ensure the continual improvement of the QHSE Management System. 

Al-Hajjar, is committed to protecting the environment, is determined to prevent accidents, and is a leader in workplace safety, and will continue to move forward through a strategy based on high standards of integrity and performance. All of our people, facilities, and partnerships, situated worldwide, are accountable for pursuing these goals by driving the QHSE Management Program. All business units and subsidiaries are aligned with Al-Hajjar’s corporate QHSE Management System. All the relevant policies and objectives are defined and clearly stated. The organizational structure and associated responsibilities for all parts of the business are highlighted. The arrangements are put in place to ensure that all policies are implemented, controlled, monitored, and improved as required.
